About the platform
Swenmoh is an independent educational initiative focused on practical digital and data skills. It is operated by Sober B.V., a company registered in the Netherlands, and serves learners across Canada through online delivery.
Origin and approach
Many adults encounter data and spreadsheet work in their jobs without ever having had structured practice in the underlying methods. Information is often learned piecemeal, under time pressure, or through trial and error. Swenmoh was created to offer a calmer, more systematic alternative: clear explanations of practical techniques, realistic exercises, and an explicit focus on what the materials can and cannot deliver.
The content is developed by people with experience in adult education and in the kinds of data tasks that appear in administrative, operational and analytical support roles. The emphasis is on transferable methods rather than on any single software brand or advanced statistical technique.
Because the organisation is based in the Netherlands while the educational service is directed at Canadian learners, all delivery is online. The platform does not operate physical classrooms in Canada and does not offer career placement or consulting services.

Educational content is developed by a small group with backgrounds in adult learning design and practical data work. Roles are described below.

Responsible for curriculum structure and the consistent practical orientation of all modules. Background in adult education and instructional design for technical subjects.

Content Lead — Spreadsheets & Analysis
Develops the spreadsheet fluency and data interpretation modules. Focuses on methods that remain useful across different software versions and workplace contexts.
Mei Lin Chen
Content Lead — Visualization & Dashboards
Designs the visualization and dashboard modules with attention to clarity and maintainability. Prior work includes educational materials on presenting quantitative information.
Pieter Bakker
Learning Experience & Practice Design
Shapes exercise sequences and the optional live session format. Ensures practice tasks remain realistic and that feedback mechanisms stay educational rather than evaluative.
